If you’re considering purchasing or selling your home and you’ve been on the sidelines wondering what the new year will bring, Compass’ Chief Economist, Mike Simonsen, has released the Compass Housing Market Outlook for 2026. The Outlook offers his predictions for the year ahead, based on the latest data, economic conditions, and emerging trends. The Outlook is very easy to read and digest, and clients have found it to be very helpful. Click here to read highlights from the Market Outlook, and if you’d like, download the full report.

HERITAGE SQUARE MUSEUM: YULETIDE CINEMALAND
Heritage Square Museum, located near one of the infamous 110 on ramps in Montecito Heights, preserves historic Victorian-era houses that were moved to the museum to avoid demolition. The Square is a popular filming location as well and most notably featured in the film Legally Blonde. During the holiday season, Yuletide Cinemaland transforms the grounds into a festive winter village which features food trucks, a holiday market, hot cocoa and cocktails as well as screenings of holiday themed films under the stars. A good fit for the entire family or a fun movie date night.

RICH MICHALOWSKI: MINIMALISM LA
I’m looking forward to the psychological reset of 2026, but launching MINIMALISM LA this year was a highlight and reaffirmed why I’m a Realtor®. Using my experience to help clients in a wobbly housing market and to see them win their first homes or sell their starter homes for top value was meaningful. If you’re looking to explore neighborhoods, discuss market conditions or are considering a purchase, sale, or lease, I’d be happy to help, rich@minimalism.la.

Rich [Michalowski] helped my wife and I buy our house in Lincoln Heights and he was incredible. Held our hand through showings, multiple offers and was able to negotiate money back for repairs. He was so kind and patient with us along the way and we literally would not have gotten our dream home with out him.” – Kevin R
