I was touring through homes in Cypress Park yesterday and was reminded how much the neighborhood has changed over the last few years. It’s a pocket that typically has low inventory, but when homes become available they are often affordable with a Median sale price of $1,000,000. Pictured is a 3 bed, 2 bath, 1,400 + sq ft Craftsman that sold at exactly $1mil. Granted, it did need some interior cosmetic updating, but still. In terms of bars, restaurants and music venues…. Santos is perfect for wine and small plates, Permanent Records Roadhouse is always a fun spot for live music and drinks, and Melody Lounge is a solid neighborhood bar — Taquería Frontera just opened and the tacos are seriously amazing. For coffee, Cafe Antonietta is my new favorite — their coco puffs latte is only for the brave.
